A car that police had been trying to stop all week has finally been seized by officers.
The silver Honda had driven at officers earlier this week, according to police, and then failed to stop when asked to do so.
Police spotted the vehicle again last night (July 20) on Chorley New Road and were this time able to stop the car.
Officers say the driver managed to escape on foot, abandoning the car which had a passenger inside.
The passenger was subsequently detained with the car seized, police say.
A GMP Traffic spokesman said: "Honda had previously failed to stop for patrols earlier this week when it was driven at officers. Sighted tonight (July 20) by officers on Chorley New Road, prevented from making off the driver made off on foot leaving the passenger in the vehicle.
"Passenger detained and car seized. Enquiries ongoing."
