A number of roads in Horwich and Blackrod are set to be closed next week for resurfacing works.

The roads will be closed for up to four weeks, according to Bolton Council, with diversions set to be put in place.

Queen Street, from Leicester Avenue to Richmond Street, with diversions in place through Bernie Avenue or Mason Street.

Webb Street, from Chorley New Road to Victoria Road, is also set to be resurfaced.

A diversion for this closure will be in place through Fox Street.

In Blackrod, Vicarage Road West is to close fully from Hall Lane to the roundabout with Ridgway.

Vicarage Road is also to close fully from the junction with Manchester Road to Greenbarn Way.

Traffic will be able to travel between Greenbarn Way and Ridgway between the road closures either end of Vicarage Road.

The council says these road closures will be in place for around four weeks, starting on July 26.
