A MAN has been arrested after he was found in possession of heroin and crack cocaine in Bolton this afternoon.
Police officers were patrolling the borough’s streets on July 23 when a 20-year-old abandoned his vehicle in a bid to escape from them on Ribblesdale Road
A search revealed large quantities of cash and Class A drugs on his person, as well as hundreds of pounds' worth of cash, and several mobile phones.
A total of 39 suspected bags of crack cocaine and 29 suspected bag of heroin were taken in by police.
The man was later taken into custody and his car seized for further investigation.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson for Bolton South said: “A 20-year-old man abandoned his vehicle on Ribblesdale Road after seeing Transport Unit officers.
“He was caught up with and found with suspected heroin and crack cocaine. He was then arrested for possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and his vehicle seized.”
