POLICE seized a Volkswagen in Halliwell after it was discovered the driver didn't have a licence and two of the tyres were defective.
Officers stopped the Passat on Prince Street on Sunday evening at around 7pm and discovered the car was missing a steering component along with having two faulty tyres.
The driver was found to be uninsured and did not have a licence, they were reported for all offences.
Greater Manchester Police said: "The Passat was stopped by divisional patrol on Prince Street, Halliwell. XT84 attended and examined the car.
"Found to have a missing steering component and two defective tyres.
"Also no insurance held and the driver had no licence. Car seized and driver reported for all offences."
Meanwhile on Saturday evening police stopped a delivery driver for not having business insurance in Little Hulton.
Police said: "XM21 stopped a food delivery driver last night in Little Hulton regarding no business insurance.
"Checks revealed he was wanted for failing to appear at court for traffic offences. Issued with TOR (traffic offence report) and arrested.
"Now has a room with a view in custody until court on Monday."
