FOUR lanes came to a standstill on the motorway near Bolton earlier following a 'police incident' just after rush-hour.
Traffic came to a halt on the M60 clockwise to Bolton at the M61 junction at around 6.30pm on July 27.
Eyewitnesses have said that traffic police had stopped traffic, possibly following an earlier collision.
It is being reported that traffic flow is now back to normal and all four lanes have since reopened.
Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for more information.
More to follow.
