ONE of Blackburn's most prominent accountancy firms has announced a major shake up to its top team with eight promotions across the company.

PM+M, based on Greenbank Technology Park, Challenge Way, specialises in business advisory and wealth management services, working with other firms throughout the borough and wider region.

The new promotions come at a busy time for the company, which has continued to grow in recent months despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and was shortlisted for last year's Gold Employer of the Year (50 to 249 employees) category at the Investors in People Awards.

PM+M managing partner Jane Parry said: "Each of these promotions is hugely deserved as they have all played a key part in PM+M’s success over the past year.

"The pandemic has brought out the best in our team, with our clients remaining their focus, so it is fantastic to give this kind of recognition which is so well deserved."

Various members of staff at the Blackburn accountancy firm, which also has a branch in Bury, have now moved into their new roles.

In the company's wealth management team Rachel Ainsworth has been promoted to manager having joined PM+M in 2017.

Meanwhile Rebecca Cox and Samantha Whittle, who both joined the firm in 2019, have been made assistant managers, while Andy Kirkaldy has become an assistant manager in the tax, VAT and customs duties team.

Mo Patel, who joined in 2018, is now a senior adviser in the payroll team while Mark Honeyman, who was appointed in 2016, takes up the same role in the audit team.

The final two promotions are in the cloud accounting team with Mark Sharples, who joined the company in 2015, promoted to assistant manager and his colleague Johanna Dean, who joined in 2016, is now a senior adviser.
