Two more coronavirus deaths have been confirmed at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
Data released by NHS England recorded two further deaths from Covid-19 at the hospital, with both taking place on Monday, July 26.
This means the total amount of people to have died of coronavirus at Bolton Hospital has risen to 689.
The first deaths at the hospital from the virus took place on March 20 last year.
As of July 20, the latest data available, there were 54 patients being treated for Covid-19 at the hospital, a slight decrease from the week before (July 14) where 61 patients were being treated.
In the seven days to July 23, Bolton recorded 1,107 new positive cases of Covid-19, equalling an infection rate of 385 cases per 100,000 residents.
This is a significant drop from the previous seven days, to July 16, where the borough recorded 1,384 new cases at a rate of 481.3 per 100,000 residents.
