A CANNABIS farm containing 165 plants was discovered by police in Tonge Moor on Wednesday.

Officers executed a search warrant for an address on Hillfield Drive and found that four rooms had been adapted to grow the cannabis.

The plants were destroyed and investigations are ongoing.

Police said yesterday: "Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a search warrant at an address on Hillfield Drive, Tonge Moor, earlier today.

"Inside the address officers found four rooms that had been converted to grow cannabis.

"In total 165 cannabis plants were found in the address.

"The plants have now been destroyed and investigations are ongoing."
