POLICE are dealing with an incident at a bridge on a major route through Bolton this evening, resulting in delays for motorists.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Manchester Road Bridge on the A666 St Peter's Way shortly after 8.30pm.
Police were blocking cars from leaving Manchester Road to travel onto the A666 due to the incident - with road users being redirected towards Farnworth.
The Northbound A666 inbound to Bolton was closed at the bridge, according to North West Motorway Police.
