A MOTORIST has been arrested for money laundering after police seized a car in Bury this afternoon - and found £250,000 inside.
Traffic officers stopped a light blue Vauxhall Meriva on Bury New Road, Prestwich, on July 30 - acting on intelligence that had been received.
The vehicle, which was uninsured, contained £250,000. The driver was arrested for money laundering offences.

A Greater Manchester Police Traffic spokesperson said: "A vehicle was Stopped by patrols XT21 and XT41 on Bury New Road on July 30.
"£250,000 was seized from within the car which also had no insurance.
"The driver was arrested for money laundering and having no insurance on the vehicle."
