The Seventies in Bolton and summer meant it was time for an outing.

Pubs, clubs and even workplaces would arrange an annual trip and it would become one of the highlights of the year.

Blackpool and the coast was a popular destination but occasionally you’d get something far more exotic and passports would be needed.

Wherever you were headed it was an excuse to get dressed up for the occasion. And with this being the Seventies the fashions were occasionally out there with flares, big hair and mini skirts all on trend.
