A DRIVER fled the scene after police were called to an incident on a main road through Bolton last night.
Officers were called to the scene on Chorley Old Road shortly before 6pm on July 31 to reports that a car, a red Vauxhall Corsa, had collided with a skip.
By the time police arrived at the scene, the driver had left - leaving the smashed-up car in the middle of the road with the hazard lights on.
A police cordon remained in place for several hours while investigations took place - with traffic being redirected.
No one has yet been arrested in connection with the incident, as of 3.30pm today (August 1).
