POLICE are at the scene of a three-car smash on the motorway near Bolton this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to an incident shortly after 2.30pm on August 1, on the M60 anti-clockwise between Junction 15 (for the M6 North, Preston, Wigan and Bolton M61) and the non-access slip-road at Junction 14 to reports that three vehicles had collided.
The vehicles have safely been moved to the hard shoulder. It is unknown if any casualties have been taken to hospital following the crash.
Traffic was stopped for close to an hour, but is said to be moving slowly again now.

A Northwest Motorway Police spokesperson said: "Officers are at the scene of a collision involving three vehicles on the M60 anticlockwise between J15 and J14.
"They have just moved vehicles to the restricted hard shoulder. Traffic should be starting to move slowly."
The emergency services have been contacted for more information.
