A popular town centre restaurant is to be closed for the rest of the month.
A Taste of Greece, in Churchgate, has announced it is 'taking a break' and will be closed for the entirety of August, reopening at the start of September.
They thanked customers for their support, regularly posting over the pandemic how much customers support has meant to them as businesses struggle with lockdowns.
The owners said on their Facebook page, and on a sign on their door: "It's time for a break. Dear friends Taste of Greece will be closed for the month of August and reopen on Wednesday September 1.
"We are very grateful for your amazing support."
Sabine Leugger and her husband Stergos Mastrogiannakis opened A Taste Of Greece on Churchgate in 2017 after 'falling in love with the town', moving from Rhodes to open the restaurant.
It has been a staple of the town ever since.
