It was perhaps fitting that Fred Dibnah was the man brought in to topple the very last remaining mill chimney on Chorley Old Road, Bolton.
A large crowd gathered to watch this historic moment in October, 1992 as the huge chimney - the last of 14 which used to dominate the landscape in the area - came crashing down to earth.
