BADLY Drawn Boy has been named as a headliner for the revived Head for the Hills festival next month.
The Bolton-born singer-songwriter will join Bess Atwell and Everything Everything for the two-day gathering, which takes place at Burrs Country Park in Bury on September 3 and 4.
Badly Drawn Boy, aka Damon Gough, will headline the Friday and art rockers Everything Everything the following night. The Magic Numbers, Harp and a Monkey, Heavy Salad and Ibibio Sound Machine have also been confirmed.
The festival, part of Burrs Live and promoted by The Met in Bury, kicks off with the Bootleg Beatles and also feature the Victoria Wood inspired Happy Festival.
Cllr Charlotte Morris, Bury Council’s culture cabinet member, said: “There’s something special about the way this set of events is designed to bring the best of our borough’s culture and creativity into the heart of one of our fantastic outdoor spaces.”
