THE Drifters - one of the most storied bands in music history - is making a return to Bolton next month.
Promoters have lined up a Thursday, September 30 date for the R&B legends and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers at the Albert Halls.
Part of a 100-date plus UK tour, classics like Saturday Night at the Movies, Come on Over to My Place, Stand By Me and Under the Boardwalk will be performed.
The tour is being staged by Tina Treadwell, daughter of original Drifters manager George Treadwell.
She said: "“I am very excited that following our 65th anniversary year we have a new show for the fans who we invite to join us in celebrating this incredible and everlasting story of The Drifters.”
Ben E King and Johnny Moore both featured in past Drifters line-ups.
