Comedians Alex Lowe and Ted Robbins will recreate characters from the award-winning TV show Phoenix Nights live on stage.

The show, which promises laugh out loud comedy, comes to Rawtenstall's St Mary's Chambers for one night only on Bank Holiday Monday, August 30.

Actor and comedian Alex Lowe, famous for portraying the hapless and unsubtle psychic Clinton Baptiste, will be joined live on stage at the East Lancashire venue by Rossendale resident and one of the nations most respected entertainers, Ted Robbins, who starred as the infamous Den Perry in the hit Peter Kay show, which celebrated its 20th anniversary earlier this year.

Alex Lowe is a regular on the stand-up comedy circuit and took his character's show, Clinton Baptiste – The Paranormalist Returns, on a sell-out tour around the country in 2019 and early 2020.

Meanwhile, Ted, from Crawshawbooth, is one of the industry's longest serving performers, featuring in award-winning shows such as League of Gentlemen, The Governor in CBBC’s The Slammer (for which he won a BAFTA ), and acting alongside Victoria Wood for many years, as well as in Phoenix Nights.

St Mary's Chambers venue director John Patrick, said: "After a difficult 12 months for the entertainment industry we are delighted to bring stars of such an incredibly popular TV series to our fantastic venue in East Lancashire, for a well needed night of comedy and laughter.

"We are very fortunate to present Alex as Clinton Baptiste, who is set to perform his live stage show at renowned theatre venues across the whole UK, alongside the very funny, and friend of the venue, Ted Robbins as Den Perry.

"This will be a superb live show, showcasing sketches from two of TV's most well-known characters from one of the most popular UK comedy series' ever written."

Monday's performance will be Alex's very first live show of 2021 before he embarks on an extensive national theatre show with, Clinton Baptiste goes Stratospheric.
