POLICE are appealing for information after a man had his car stolen off his driveway in an armed robbery.

Officers were called at around 7pm on Monday, August 16 to Moss Lane, Walkden, to reports a blue BMW had been stolen.

Police say the the owner of the vehicle was approached by two masked men brandishing machetes.

One man has been charged in connection with the robbery and is due to appear at court next month.

Police have issued an appeal for information about the robbery.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Detectives are still looking for a second suspect, described as 5ft 10in tall, of slim build, wearing a black balaclava, black Parka jacket and black gloves with black bottoms and trainers.

Emdadur Rahman, 24, of Glenby Way, Chadderton, Oldham, will appear at Manchester Crown Court on 22 September 2021 charged with robbery and possession of bladed article in a public place.
