A NEW nightclub is ready to finally open after the pandemic halted plans twice.

The Truth Nightclub will officially open doors tonight in Bolton, bringing the party scene back to the town after a long year.

Owner Chris Roberts chose Bolton because he thinks the town’s redevelopments will bring more footfall and is keen to give people a place to start or finish their night.

Mr Roberts said: “We are bringing something as an alternative and something fresh that will help the businesses around here.

“Nobody usually stays in one place all night but people can finish it here — and even start their night with us.”

With a new sound system and state of the art lighting, Truth Nightclub wants to appeal to everyone by playing all kinds of music and having a "chilled out" room as well as a main room.

Mr Roberts said: “The first room people can go mad in but the second room is more chilled out, where people can sit down with drinks.”

Truth Nightclub was originally due to open in June but was pushed back twice due to the lockdown restrictions and staff testing positive for coronavirus.

Reactions to the new nightclub opening have so far been all positive for Mr Roberts.

He said: “We’ve had a fantastic response, people are looking forward to only paying £1 for a ticket as we launch tonight. It’s been a terrible year due to Covid-19, so it’s good to give people value for money as well as a good time.

“We want people to come back again after coming once and we even have something amazing but secretive planned for the winter.”

Truth will open from 10pm on Friday where live performances and DJ’s will wow the crowd.

Mr Roberts added: “The town is looking to get bigger and better, with a lot of developments going on and I think it’s a great part of Greater Manchester so we want to be part of this growing town."

The club owner has previously worked in hotels and clubs in places such as Liverpool and Manchester and wants to eventually expand to cities if the Bolton club goes well.
