BOLTON brewery Northern Monkey has made 30 more tickets available for its sell-out beer festival – Monkey in the Woods.

The re-arranged festival is due to take place this Saturday – after originally being scheduled for a July date.

Dozens of tickets were snapped up in record time for the event - which is being supported by The Bolton News.

The festival will be held at Barrow Bridge car park, off Barrow Bridge Road, with a range of locally brewed beers, ciders and Bolton gin being sold at the event.

There will also be live music and food on offer.

Thirty per cent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to The Woodlands Trust, Smithills Estate, to help them to continue preserving and maintaining the estate for years to come.

Brewery boss Liam Convey said: “Because the event was re-arranged we now have a very limited number of tickets available meaning those who were unable to get hold of a ticket this summer can now come.

“It’s going to be a really special event and we can’t wait. There will be 12 cask beers and 12 keg beers on offer plus we’ll have pizza and live music and the guys from the Cakey will also be there.”

There are tickets available for the afternoon session from 12.30pm and the evening session from 5.30pm - both on Saturday September 4.
