A man has died after being 'assaulted' in Bolton town centre.
Police say they were called around 1.30am this morning to reports that a man had been found unconscious on Bradshawgate, near the Luxe Lounge nightclub.
Officers believe the 36-year-old man had been assaulted and he was treated by paramedics at the scene.
He later died at hospital and an investigation has now been launched.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Officers were called at about 1.30am today (2 September) to reports a man had been found unconscious on Bradshawgate, Bolton.
"It is believed the man, 36, had been assaulted and was treated by NWAS staff at the scene. He was then taken to hospital, where he sadly died.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
