A CAR was seized by police after it was abandoned following a police chase in Bolton.
The driver of a grey Honda Civic failed to stop for officers after being pursued in the Heaton area this morning.
A short while later it was found on Back Lonsdale Road, Heaton, with the driver nowhere to be seen.
Investigations are ongoing to locate the motorist so that they can be prosecuted for the offence.

A Greater Manchester Police traffic spokesperson for Bolton West said: “The vehicle failed to stop for officers on September 3.
“Following an area search, it was found abandoned on Back Lonsdale Road, Heaton.
“The vehicle has been seized and enquiries are on-going to identify and prosecute the driver.”
No arrests have been made at this stage.
