FOUR people managed to escape a house fire in the early hours of Friday.
Firefighters were called to Colemore Grove in Tonge Moor after a fire broke out in the bedroom of a semi-detached house.
Four people were out of the property having been alerted by the smoke alarm as fire crews arrived.
The fire broke out 5.25am, the cause of which is being investigated.
Paramedics were also called to the incident.
Watch Manager Andrew Kopicki said: "The fire was confined to the bedroom.
"An adult was suffering the effect of smoke.
"Four appliances were sent from Bolton North, Bolton Central and Farnworth."
Fire crews were on the scene for just under an hour and half.
Mr Kopicki urged everyone to ensure they have a working smoke alarm
