Two people were arrested in drug raids in Radcliffe this morning.

Officers executed a raid in Scarr Avenue, Radcliffe, today (September 7).

A man and a woman were arrested as a result of this raid on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and money laundering, police said.

One officers was 'nipped' by a dog when entering the property, however, no injuries were sustained by officers.

Both the man and woman remain in custody for questioning.

A GMP spokesman said: "Earlier this morning (Tuesday 7 September) officers from the Bury Divisional Tasking Team and Radcliffe Neighbourhood team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address on Scarr Avenue, Radcliffe.

"Following a search of the property two people ­— a male and a female ­— were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and money laundering offences.

"They're both currently in custody for questioning.

"A couple of lively dogs were in the property at the time and one officer was nipped by one as they made entry. Thankfully no injuries were sustained though."
