A RAFT of new sales jobs have been opened up to “eager, hungry and target driven” young people in Bolton.

The remote sales advisor jobs are on offer thanks to a partnership between utilities company Scottish Power and Bolton-based recruitment agency Chester Blake.

Young applicants will find themselves working primarily in Bolton but also further afield throughout Greater Manchester and in Blackburn.

Chester Blake managing director Paul Fletcher said: “This is the perfect opportunity for career change or getting back into work after Covid.

“We want motivated, eager, hungry target driven individuals. Experience within sales is beneficial but not essential if you have the above.

“Training is provided and paid for, travel is paid for too as you will not always be in one place.”

The energy firm has been building on its presence in the North West in recent months, with the company having announced plans to install 450,000 smart meters for customers last August.

The new recruitment campaign in Bolton is intended to increase the utilities giant’s local presence.

Mr Fletcher said that they were looking for between 50 and 60 candidates.

The roles will involve manning the pop up kiosks and will require employees to engage with the public and to convince them to take up Scottish Power as an energy supplier.
