De Haviland Way
Two lanes of a major motorway were closed due to an accident this afternoon.
An accident on the M61 southbound, towards Bolton, at junction six just before De Havilland Way is causing heavy traffic in the area.
The accident has now been moved onto the hard shoulder, according to Highways England, with the two lanes now open.
However, there is still heavy traffic in the area.
