RAMBLERS in Bolton have a series of walks planned for this weekend and beyond.
This Saturday a trek has been planned for Great Hucklow, in Derbyshire, from 10.30am.
An eight-miler is pencilled in, around the same time, for Wheelton Moor, meeting at Anglezarke car park, taking in Lead Mines Clough, Round Loaf, Drinkwaters, Wheelton Plantation and White Coppice.
And a six-mile hike is proposed, also for 10.30am, around Samuel Crompton's. Those interested should assemble at Hough Fold Way, behind the Harwood Morrisons. This outing covers Oaks Lane, Bank Top, Hall i 'th' Wood and Firwood Fold.
Next Wednesday, there's another series hosted by the club, again with 10.30am start times.
The first is over nine miles, heading for Bedlam, meeting at Clough Head car park in Haslingden and taking in Jamestone Quarry, Accrington Moor, Bedlam, Jackhouse and Higher Warmwithens.
A Yarrow Valley eight-mile hike sets off from the car park there, covering the River Yarrow, Dry Bones Wood, Eller Brook, Wigan Lane, Canal Towpath, Bridge 74, and Duxbury Park, River Yarrow. Finally there is a Cutacre five-miler, setting off from the Rosemary Lane car park and taking in Pretoria
