A FIRM in Bolton has demonstrated that the sky’s the limit when it comes to supporting charity.

IT and telecoms provider Digicomm 360, based on Halliwell Road, joined the Lagan’s Foundation charity skydive team and carried out the challenge of a lifetime.

Managing director Mark Pollitt, joined by senior engineers, Warren Hardman and Tom Hyde, made their way to the Black Knights jump centre at Cockerham in Lancashire to tick the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity off their bucket list.

Mark said the company had been raising money for Lagan’s Foundation since it’s launch.

He said: “We’re extremely proud of the town where we all live and work. We’ve always been committed to giving back to the local community through charity fundraising and the support of local good causes, raising thousands of pounds over the years.

“As a Bolton-based company, we’ve been raising money for Lagan’s Foundation since it’s launch. In these most challenging of times, charities need more support than ever and so we were delighted to raise £2,305 for this amazing cause.”

The charity was set up by Carren Bell in memory of her daughter Lagan who died after being born with complex heart defects in 2010. It supports families who have infants and children diagnosed with complex health conditions specialising in heart defects and feeding difficulties with at home and in hospital care.

Like many charities, it has taen a huge hit to it’s revenue since the pandemic.

The firm, which provides outsourced telecoms and IT solutions, was delighted to be able to do their bit.

Mark added: “I am hugely proud of what our staff have achieved. For all of us, it was our first skydive and it’s fair to say there was a real mixture of nervous anticipation and excitement.

“It was teamwork in the truest sense and it was fantastic for us all to come together and we all agree, one of the most exhilarating things we’ve ever done. We’d like to extend our thanks to the team at Lagan’s Foundation for inviting us to join them."
