IAN Evatt has named his starting XI for Wanderers’ League One clash with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

The Whites enter the game on the back of a frustrating 2-0 defeat against Rotherham United at the UniBol following Ben Wiles’ brace.

The result saw Evatt’s men slip to eighth in the league table, having taken 12 points from their opening eight matches back in the third tier.

Meanwhile, the Black Cats are second in the league table, only behind leaders Wigan on goal difference having won five of their opening seven matches.

Wanderers have faced Sunderland 148 times in their history, with a record of 49 wins, 37 draws and 62 defeats.

Their last win in the fixture came in February 2018 when Zach Clough got the only goal in a 1-0 victory at the UniBol.

Here is how the sides line-up.

Sunderland: Hoffman, Winchester, Flanagan, Doyle, Cirkin, O'Nien, Neil, McGeady, Pritchard, Embleton, Stewart

Subs: Burge, Huggins, Evans, Alves, Dajaku, Broadhead, Wright

Bolton: Dixon, Jones, Santon, Johnston, Gordon, Williams, Sheehan, Isgrove, Sarcevic, Afolayan, Doyle

Subs: Gilks, John, Delfouneso, Lee, Kachunga, Thomason, Baptiste
