MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to have treatment for drug addiction after he admitted damaging several cars on October 18 last year. Kieran Brown, aged 26, of Trafford Street, Farnworth, admitted causing £75-worth of damage to a Mondeo windscreen, a £200 wing mirror on a Vauxhall Adam and £300 of damage to the boot lid of a Hyundai. He must undertake 120 hours of unpaid work and 20 days of rehabilitation activities and was also ordered to pay his victims a total of £575 in compensation.

A MAN who spat at a police officer has been jailed for six months. Joshua Rowley, aged 30, of Westwood Close, Farnworth, admitted assaulting three officers on March 26 and September 19 and damaging a woman’s front door.

A WOMAN who damaged doors belonging to Bolton at Home has been sentenced to a conditional discharge for 18 months by Bolton magistrates. Annette Beckett, aged 46, of Aspinall Court, Horwich, had denied damaging the four doors, worth a total of £4,000, on May 27, 2019 but was convicted after a trial.

A WOMAN caught illegally using a disabled person’s blue parking badge has been fined £246. Julie Edwards, of Spencer Street, Bury, committed the offence on September 28, 2019.

A TEENAGER who was caught carrying knives and used threatening behaviour towards a woman in Bolton on June 2 has been referred to a youth offender panel for six months. The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, admitted having the lock knives in Crossford Drive, Bolton, along with 10 snap bags of cannabis. He also pleaded guilty to assaulting a man and threatening a woman and was ordered to pay his victims a total of £100 in compensation.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to do 100 hours of unpaid work after he admitted using threatening behaviour towards a police officer on August 29. Marcus Atherton, aged 26, of Newdale Gardens, Breightmet, was ordered to have treatment for alcohol addiction and participate in 32 days of rehabilitation activities.

A MAN who assaulted a woman in Stoneclough on August 13 last year has been given a community sentence. Peter Longworth, aged 66, of Bridge Street, Stoneclough, was convicted following a trial. He was fined £180 and ordered to participate in 10 days of rehabilitation activities.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to do 100 hours of unpaid work after he attended the Bolton homes of his victims and posted letters and notes to them. Stephen Morris, aged 58, of Park Road, Kirkby, pleaded guilty to three counts of harassment involving four victims in October and November last year.

A WOMAN caught illegally street trading in Manchester city centre has been fined £660. The court heard how Michelle Hill, aged 51, of Hills View, Windley Street, Bolton, was illegally selling goods in Market Street on December 13 last year.

A MAN who shouted abuse at a woman in the street and tried to enter her garden has been sentenced to a conditional discharge for 12 months. David Nicholson, aged 51, of Wilton Street, Bolton, also admitted damaging a chimney shroud at the home on September 24. A restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim and he was ordered to pay her £60 in compensation.
