The number of people requiring hospital treatment for Covid-19 at Bolton Hospital has decreased, according to NHS England.
As of September 28, the latest data publicly available, 31 patients were being treated for coronavirus at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
Seven days previously, on September 21, 35 people were being treated for Covid, with as many as 47 people at Bolton Hospital occupying a bed with coronavirus earlier this month (September 6).
The number of people needing 'mechanical ventilation' beds has also decreased, with four patients requiring this treatment as of September 28.
Patient numbers had dropped as low as 11 at the start of May, but the current number of patients is still far lower than previous highs during the pandemic, with Bolton Hospital treating as many as 150 people at points in January this year.
A total of 725 people have died of Covid-19 at Bolton Hospital throughout the pandemic, with the last death happening on September 28.
