A MANCHESTER-based lift provider has made an extra donation to Bolton Hospice after already providing them with a maintenance contract free of charge.

Sheridan Lifts, based in Monsall, provides the hospice with an on-site lift maintenance contract free of charge, commiting to review regularly its six lifts across the buildings and shops.

In addition to this service worth £1,500 per year, they have donated £250 to Bolton Hospice’s Workplace Raise-A-Thon fundraiser.

Tony Sheridan, managing director at Sheridan Lifts, said: “Bolton Hospice is very close to my heart, as my father and company founder Stan Sheridan spent his last precious few days there back in 1994.

“Although it was 27 years ago, I still remember the care and compassion the staff provided him.

“It had a pivotal part in the Sheridan family and influenced my decision to take what my dad had created to the company it is today.

“I hope our involvement now and in the coming years, providing maximum lift performance, is my way of saying thank you to the hospice on behalf of my dad and the whole family.”
