WANDERERS will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Papa John’s Trophy when they host Liverpool Under-21s on Tuesday night (KO 7pm).

Ian Evatt’s men enter the game on the back of a 2-1 win against Shrewsbury thanks to goals from Antoni Sarcevic and Dapo Afolayan.

Here is everything you need to know about the cup clash.

Team news

Gethin Jones is ruled out after being forced off in Saturday’s win against Shrewsbury with a dead leg. Harry Brockbank is set to replace the Welshman at right back.

Liam Edwards and Xavier Amaechi remain sidelined by injury, while Evatt has hinted he could make further changes due to the Whites’ busy schedule.

Form

Wanderers recorded a 3-2 victory against League Two Port Vale in their Group D opener last month.

Meanwhile, the young Reds suffered a 4-0 defeat against Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena in their opening fixture.

Barry Lewtas’ side are 11th in the Premier League 2 table, having taken five points from their opening seven fixtures.
