Delays: The incident occurred at the roundabout on De Havilland Way, Horwich
DRIVERS have been warned to expect delays after a crash at a busy roundabout.
The accident occurred earlier today on the roundabout on De Havilland way at Junction 6 leading on to the M61 in Horwich.
The eastbound lane was temporarily closed, with emergency services called to the scene.
Transport for Greater Manchester warned road users to use alternative routes, with all lanes eventually cleared and reopened by 1.55pm.
However, traffic is still queuing due to the delays caused by the accident.
Police have not yet released any further details as to the nature of the road traffic collision.
