SIX new governors have been appointed to take charge of Bolton's NHS Trust.
The council of governors are elected to represent the views of patients, public, staff and partners.
The new members joined Bolton NHS Foundation Trust Council of Governors, having been elected in its 2021 elections.
A statement issued by the trust said: "Governors are either elected by the members they represent or appointed by the Trust’s partner organisations.
"They provide an ear and a voice for members, ensuring that their views are heard and that their opinions on the future delivery and development of services influence the Board of Directors’ decisions."
The new governors are Jim Sherrington, elected in the Bolton North East Constituency, Alan Yates, elected in the Bolton South East Constituency, Pauline Lee, who retained her seat in the Bolton West Constituency, David Edwards and David Barnes, elected in the Bolton West Constituency, Alan Physick, elected in the All Other Staff Constituency and Susan Moss, elected in the Doctors and Dentists Constituency
In total, the Council of Govenors has 33 members, with one position currently vacant
Later this year, the new members will join their first meeting on December 9.
They will also attend the trust's annual members’ meeting on October 14 2021.
