SHEFFIELD Wednesday goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith says they will “give back as good as we get” against Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
The goalkeeper is poised to start in place of Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who is on international duty with Northern Ireland.
The Owls sit 12th in the league table after picking up 15 points from their opening 10 fixtures back in the third tier.
Wildsmith is expecting a tough test at Hillsborough but insists his side are well prepared.
He told Yorkshire Live: "They are an expansive team. They like to attack at all costs. It is going to be a challenge for us to stand up to that and match them up.
"We are ready for it and open to the challenge. There will be shots, crosses and attacking opportunities for them. We will give back as good as we get.
"We are positive and ready to take three points".
Saturday’s game could see Wanderers midfielder Kieran Lee line-up against his former club.
Wildsmith played alongside Lee at Hillsborough and is excited by the prospect of going up against his former team-mate.
He added: "Kieran was a massive part of the football club. I have known him since breaking through. He is a great lad.
"He is quiet but he is involved in things. It will be good to see him. It is great to see him back playing. It is nice to see him playing regularly."
