Bolton will host some of the world’s leading Muslim comedians as part of a UK tour.
The Super Muslim Comedy Tour which is set to tour 10 UK towns and cities heads to Bolton's 3D Centre on Tuesday 26 October.
Audiences will be treated to Prince Abdi who has supported among others Dave Chappelle, Trevor Noah and Chris Rock and Ali Al Sayed from Comic Strip Live and Comedy Central Presents.
Also taking part will be Abdullah Afzal from the BBC’s Citizen Khan, Fatiha El- Ghorri, who has performed at the Jonathan Ross’s Comedy Club and Comedy Central at the Edinburgh Fringe, and American Azeem Muhammad, who is known for his weekly iTunes podcast 'I’m Just Serious'.
Fatiha said, “Being a stand-up comedian is really difficult as a Muslim woman so it’s nice to have inclusive events like this where everyone is welcome to come along and have a good laugh”.
The tour is now in its sixth year and organised by Penny Appeal, an international humanitarian charity which works in over 30 countries.
