FARNWORTH'S first-ever live music festival was a huge success, according to organisers and early bird tickets for 2022 are already sold out.

Farnworth Live featured a day-long line up of music alongside a funfair, games and food and drink stalls on September 25 and the organisers, BL4 Live, said the event was everything they hoped for.

Gary Daniels, a spokesman for BL4 Live, said: “This year’s inaugural festival was a huge success, with over 1000 attendees.

"The day ran smoothly with the weather staying on our side and the entertainment was exactly what we hoped it would be when we chose our line-up.

“Social media videos by festival-goers show the perfect atmosphere for our headline act with the Freddie Mercury tribute in the evening.”

Due to the huge success of this years festival, the promoters have decided to bring the festival back for two days next year.

Gary added: “Our 2022 early bird tickets sold out within a short space of time following this year’s event, which we feel indicates just how successful the day was.

“It was always our aim for the first year to showcase what we’re aiming to bring to our great town of Farnworth on an annual occasion.

“This is only the start and we’re extremely confident that next year’s two day event will be a huge success to a sell-out crowd.”

Farnworth Live 2022 will be even bigger and better, he says, with a line-up already being created, featuring a local band named 'More Trees Please' making a special guest appearance.

Farnworth councillor Paul Sanders, said the festival has put the town on the map.

He said: “Farnworth Live is another positive, to add to the progress of recent years, which once again puts our proud town firmly back on the map.

“Festivals like this positively bring our communities together. Residents are keenly looking forward to Farnworth Live 2022.”

The festival will be on the June bank holiday, June 2 and 3, say the promoters.

Tickets can be bought online at farnworthlive.com with adult tickets priced at £30 and under 18s priced at £15, for both days.
