A 'BIG Conversation' is underway with the aim of improving Bolton Council's services for the elderly and vulnerable.
The services under review are those working with the elderly, people with dementia and those that support carers in the borough.
Members of the public have been encouraged to give their views as to how these services can be enhanced.
A council statement said: "We want to help and encourage people to have their say on how services can be modernised for the future, as well as how and where they should be provided.
"This will be called the Big Conversation, we welcome a range of views and know that these are all important."
The authority hopes that by canvassing such views, service can be made more flexible and creative, with the ultimate aim to helping elderly and vulnerable people maintain their independence.
Further details on how to take part will be released on October 18.
