BOLTON Town Hall will be lit up blue and pink to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week and parents will light candles in remembrance of their precious babies in Royal Bolton Hospital's Baby Memorial Garden on Friday.

Baby Loss Awareness Week will end on Friday with a global Wave of Light.

Every year, more than 1.2 million babies are stillborn or die in the first four weeks of life

The Wave of Light is a global event that aims to raise awareness for this important cause while uniting communities across the globe through remembrance ceremonies held simultaneously around 7pm.

Parents are invited to the Baby Memorial Garden where candles will be lit at 7pm.

This year a digital Wave of Light will be be staged and to get involved, take a photo of your candle and post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #WaveOfLight at 7pm local time.
