A woman has been arrested after a man was attacked in Farnworth with a broken bottle.
The man was taken to hospital for his injuries, although they are not believed to be life threatening.
The attack happened just after 2pm in Darley Street, Farnworth, this afternoon with a 27-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assault, according to police.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "At 2.09pm this afternoon (October 12) police were called to a report of an assault on Darley Street in Farnworth.
"Officers attended and initial enquiries have established that a male was attacked with a broken bottle following an altercation.
"The male was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
"A 27-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault."
