There are long delays on a motorway towards Manchester due to an 'overturned vehicle'.
The vehicle has overturned on the M56 eastbound at junction 10, near Warrington, with all traffic being diverted.
Delays of up to 45 minutes are being warned with traffic queuing back to junction 11.
A Highways England North West spokesman said: "The M56 eastbound at J10 (Warrington, Northwich A49) is closed within the junction. All traffic is being brought off via the exit slip, to then re-join via the entry slip road due to an overturned vehicle. Traffic Officers NW motorway police are currently at the scene.
"Please be aware that there are delays of up to 45 minutes on the approach to the collision on the M56 eastbound this afternoon. Traffic is queuing back to J11 near Runcorn. Please allow extra time for your journey or seek an alternative route if possible."
