A GATHERING later this month in Bolton aims to help manufacturers get to grips with the post-Covid economic landscape.

The Manufacturers Alliance will be meeting at All Souls, Bolton on October 22 to help firms address questions such as how to continue working remotely, how to make the best of platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams and how to recruit and retain talented employees.

A Manufacturers Alliance spokesperson said: "There is no getting away from the fact, the shift towards more remote and hybrid working is now the new norm for manufacturing in the UK and the rest of the globe.

They added: "Waiting for things to go ‘back to normal’ is not going to happen. We are entering a new phase of change in industry.

"We need to grasp the opportunity and make the best of it."

The Alliance hopes to encourage attendees to get involved in discussions and help to offer their own ideas for the road ahead.

The spokesperson said: "Forward thinking leaders that want to learn what others with a like mind are thinking, and how they plan to strike a healthy balance moving forward."

Business leaders can register their interest in attending by going to the Manufacturers Alliance's website or by emailing: info@manufacturersalliance.co.uk.
