A NEW pop-up library will launch as Westhoughton Library undergoes renovation work.
Work to make the building more energy efficient gets underway this month.
The pop-up library will be located at The Hub, Central Drive and open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
Cllr Adele Warren, Executive Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Development, said: “In response to climate change, Bolton Council is committed to supporting a greener and more sustainable future for the borough.
“These upgrades and improvements will enable us to run the building in a more efficient way and help us reduce our carbon footprint.”
Deputy Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr Hilary Fairclough, said: “Whilst these improvements are being made, it is good that book lending services will remain in place.
“Through the pop-up library, Westhoughton residents will be able to continue to access this important service.”
