A 36-year-old man has been charged with the production of cannabis and abstracting electricity after police uncovered a cannabis set-up.
Earlier this week, officers from the Bolton west neighbourhood team raided a property on Chorley Road in Westhoughton.
Upon entering the house they found a cannabis farm containing around 40 plants, and also found the electricity had been bypassed.
A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was later charged.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Officers from the Bolton west neighbourhood team executed a drugs warrant at an address on Chorley Road in Westhoughton earlier this week.
"Officers found a cannabis farm at the address and arrested a 36-year-old male for production of cannabis and abstracting electricity.
"He was later charged with the offences.
"Officers removed a total of 40 plants from the address."
