WANDERERS’ busy League One schedule continues with a trip to the south coast to take on Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night (KO 7:45pm).

Ian Evatt’s men will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-0 defeat against Wigan at the UniBol.

Team news

Ian Evatt has pledged to make major changes as he looks for a response from the performance against Wigan.

Ricardo Santos misses out through suspension, having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season over the weekend.

Gethin Jones, Kieran Lee and Declan John are also likely to miss out through injury.

Opposition lowdown

Plymouth – who finished 18th in League One last season - brought in several fresh faces over the summer including Brendan Galloway and Jordan Houghton.

Ryan Lowe’s men have made a strong start to the season and currently sit at the top of the league table, having lost just one game.

The Devon outfit came from behind to record a 3-1 win at Oxford United over the weekend thanks to Jordon Garrick and a brace from Panutche Camara.

Head-to-head

  • Wanderers have faced Plymouth 30 times in their history, with a record of 15 wins, two draws and 13 defeats
  • Their last win in the fixture came in January 1993 following a 3-1 victory at Burnden Park in the Second Division

Last meeting

Plymouth edged a tight affair when the sides last met in the FA Cup first round back in November 2019.

Callum McFadzean scored the decisive goal, finding the roof of the net with a ruthless strike after 11 minutes.

Joe Dodoo and Chris O’Grady both went close for the Whites on a frustrating afternoon at the UniBol.
