A BOLTON-based energy comparison company has made a name for itself as a business that prioritises sport and fitness, especially during the pandemic.

The company’s CEO, Phil Foster, led the morning workouts and propelled his team into the sporting spotlight.

Their football team, Love Energy Savings (LES) FC, which was founded in 2018, has grown year-on-year and is now comprised of a competitive squad of players who participate in league matches.

The team was first set up to bring staff and their friends and family closer together, however the players have gone from strength to strength.

LES has made its way to the second division in the Rochdale, Bury & District Sunday League, storming the competition and progressing from 55th position to 15th in two years.

Last season, the team won 10 consecutive games, before reaching the final of the Manchester Total Football League Cup.

While the team was unable to secure the trophy, they are filled with determination for the new season.

Crown Gas and Power has showed their support by sponsoring a new kit for the LES players.

Dale Marriott, director at Crown, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Love Energy Savings FC this season.

“We fully support the company’s ethos of encouraging exercise and enterprise.”

Mr Foster, of LES, added: “Physical fitness, especially one that encourages participation and spectatorship, is another facet of creating a happy workforce.

“I am also immensely proud of the incredible achievements of the team and I can’t wait to see us holding the cup this season.”
