Bolton Asda store community champion Christine Baldwin presented Harmony Youth project with a donation of £1,000 from the Asda Foundation.

The donation will help the youth group to provide essentials and celebrate a Bringing Communities Back Together event which will be held on November 18.

Harmony Youth project was set up to assist young people aged between eight and 21 years especially those who are disadvantaged, in helping them realise their true potential through the medium of creative arts, social integration activities and extra curricular activities and courses.

Charlie Barrett, from the youth project, said: “Because of the pandemic every penny is a help. It has been a crazy year for everyone, many people have lost loved ones and we are all keeping our fingers crossed for a better 2022.

“We need to keep this charity afloat, we are trying to make a difference in the community, thank you Asda for the donation.”

Christine Baldwin said: “I am thankful to the Asda Foundation for once again showing great support for a small local charity that is trying very hard to help the youth in our community.”
