Rising infection rates are starting to impact on the day-to-day running of schools.

Bolton’s public health chiefs say they are seeing cases rise “markedly in school-age children” adding that “some schools have started to experience challenges with staff capacity as a result”.

steveG said: "There needs to be more trust placed in the vaccine. The vulnerable are protected and children are at negligible risk. The experts (may) have got many things wrong we need to have faith that the vaccine protects the majority.

Taking it seriously said: "Trust the vaccines, stop all this unnecessary testing, and accept a level of mortality amongst the elderly and ill. Most people have realised that’s what we have to do and the sooner we all accept this the quicker we can get back to normality.

Lets be honest said: "The virus marginally affects kids and presents close to zero risk to their life. Adults should be double vaccinated unless they’re allergic. What else can we do unless we lockdown forever?"
